A bikepacking essential...
We've long been a fan of "butt pads" in our household. My partner turned me onto them for cold weather mid-ride hangouts. She always has one in her backpack. It's ridiculous how much that insulation and padding improves your mood when you're sitting on cold rocks. They weigh almost nothing, and are a real life saver. Not to mention the myriad other uses as a bag / basket pads, make shift beverage insulation, etc.
These ones from Blue Lug are less expensive than similar products, and come in better colors. When we saw them in their catalog I knew we should bring some in and see if it's something our folks want to add to their bikepacking and riding kits- Jeff
From Blue Lug:
For picnics or for using them as cushion for benches.
You can also fold them in half as a pad for Wald 137 baskets.
By folding one of the flap, it fits perfectly in S-Milk Crates.
They fold up small, so you can just squeeze them into the side pockets of back pack or stem bags on your bike.
They're super light and easy to carry around. Try em out!
