Help Wanted: Shipping & Bike Mechanic

Howdy folks,

We’re real excited to be in a position to expand our team and are looking for one or two folks, depending on the applicants we receive. Essentially, there’s enough work for one full time position or two part time positions depending on the needs, skills, availability, and experience of our applicant pool.

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a 401k match. These are in person positions located in Minneapolis, MN. 

What we need help with immediately:
Bike Mechanic - Assembly and boxing of new bikes. Must be able to build a bike from frame up proficiently. For this  job, we are requiring some professional experience as we just don’t have the bandwidth to train someone from scratch. This person will be supervised and mentored by our master mechanic Blaise. So if you’ve ever wanted to learn from the best, this is a great opportunity to do that. 

Shipping - For this position no bike industry experience is required, just excellent attention to detail and the ability to regularly lift 50lbs. In fact we would be really excited to bring someone new into this industry that we love. As with all positions at Wilde, if you excel at this role, there’s really no limit to where you can go as eventually we’ll need help with everything. Since bike experience is not necessary, bonus points for other work experience / skills you may have developed that could potentially help us down the road. 

What you could grow into: There’s no ceiling here as we’re a young organization and have all sorts of needs with many more to come as we grow. We all do a mix of “high level” and “low level” tasks (I’m not only the President, but I’m also the Janitor) and you need to be fine with that. We all do what is necessary to make it work. We anticipate needing help in: ordering, receiving. If you’ve got a creative side we will be needing help in photography, graphic design, video, etc. Then there are business fundamentals that we’ll need to strengthen, HR, warehouse management, etc. Basically, you’d have room to grow in every direction contained within a bike company, if you’re motivated to do so.
